Одна из задач creative accountant — интерпретировать балансовые данные с таким богатым воображением, что предстанет совершенно «розовая» картина ситуации. С 1970-х гг. этот эвфемизм широко употребляется в мире бизнеса, и говорят, что эта система даже используется (избави Боже!) британским правительством и местными властями.
